Timberlake’s Horns Say

Justin Timberlake – Take Back The Night (single)

Justin Timberlake’s albums are like buses; you wait ages for one to come along and then 2 come along literally at the same time, for Take Back The Night is taken from the second instalment of The 20/20 Experience, which is due at the end of September. So as to not confuse the fans, as the current single is Tunnel Vision, Take Back The Night is offered as an instant download when you pre-order The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2.

Controversy sells whether you make an artistic video or get threatened with legal action, Timberlake has been through both with the Take Back The Night Foundation first issuing a notice advising that Timberlake had used their name without permission, however, a lawsuit was averted when Timberlake issued a formal apology.

Take Back The Night is a slice of feelgood retro soul; you could imagine Michael Jackson recording a track like this if he was still alive. Timbaland shows that he is not a one track production pony, gone is the kitchen sink production & his usual utterings. Take Back The Night features strings & horns to good effect and leaves you in no doubt that it is aimed squarely at the dancefloor.

The first instalment of The 20/20 Experience left me underwhelmed if Take Back The Night is anything to go by then The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2 should be a corker!
